Projects:
Dip Dyed Ombre Napkin and Placemat set of 4
Supplies (included in kit):
4 napkins
4 placemats
Fabric Dye
Rubber Gloves
Other Supplies: Basin for holding dye, 1/2 gallon warm water, plastic spoon, Washer/dryer or sink, iron
Directions:
1. Wet all fabric with water and ring out excess. Fold the fabric in hals and then fold it in half again in the same direction. Set aside
2. Mix fabric dye with warm water in basin using a plastic spoon.
3. Drape fabric over the side of the basin submerging about 1/3 on the cloth in the die. Leave for at least 20 minutes. *I left mine in an hour.
3. Rinse the fabric until the water runs clear.
4. Wash in cold water and dry. Iron. Starch if desired.
Centerpiece
Supplies (included in kit):
Wood letters and shapes
Acrylic paint
Paint brushes
Glitter
Sandpaper
Other supplies: Patterned paper scraps, paper punches, stencils and any other embellishments you might want to add (optional)
1. Sand any rough edges on the wood shapes and wipe off the dust.
2. Basecoat the wood pieces as directed in the instructions or to your liking.
3. If desired distress by sanding away paint or dry brushing on a contrasting color.
4. Paint details on the wood shapes.
5. Paint glue on the snowflake and sprinkle with glitter.
6. If desired decoupage patterned scrapbook paper on some wood shapes. You can also add buttons, trim or other embellishments to them!
